gl with the fix , can you imagine having the sunroom shade open and kids in the back seats

You'd better not get info from the truck.

Please notice that if you tell the insurance co that you know/see what truck/car doing it, then the insurance co will consider this as accident. You will then have to pay for deductible. One weird thing is your insurance will cover your damage, not the other insurance.
I learn this the hard way.

^ na dont notify the insurance ,,, but the trucking company... they usually will settle. if you state the specifics they will pay out, its cheaper then getting a surcharge on their commercial insurance plan.

that sucks bro. remind me of my accident recently when a metal sheet coming flying off an big rig n hit my car.

thank god no one was hurt, it could have been worst for you.

did you get the truck info? if you did the truck insurance or company will have to pay for the damages. depending if you are going through insurance or not. you will not have to pay for deductible if the other party admit fault or if you have proof that he indeed cause the accident. gl

that would be a comprehensive claim since no other vehicle was involved. Comp claims do not raise your insurance like a collision will.

That's too bad, it's good that you did not get hurt by this.

I just bought my daughter an 07 Mazda 3 for her high school graduation. I told her not to be driving behind SUVs or 18 wheelers because they kick up rocks that will crack your windshield or damage your paint. She still did and now she has a 1/4 chip in her front fender paint.

Wow! I've had a headlight knocked out by road debris before, but that's crazy. Glad you're okay.

I've heard of that happening on some Volvos as well.

Holy crap! I just saw this thread and WOW is all I can say. You are right though - having the sunroof closed likely saved you some serious injury or a major accident.

I'm surprised that it shattered so badly. Is this a case where Infiniti cheaped out and didn't make that out of safety glass?

Glad you're OK. I don't know if I could have kept it under control with a hit like that.
