Angry Look what happened to me on the freeway :(

So I'm driving on the freeway, about 150 feet behind a truck, when a rock flung up and landed directly on my sunroof. It was HOT today, so I'm guessing that that variable had something to do with it breaking like it did.

Anyway, my insurance company is paying to have it replaced, plus I think they're going to have to repaint the roof, because there are tons of various scratches all over it now.

It really sucks, but I'm thankful that I had the fabric sunroof cover closed at the time. Glass in my eyeballs while going 70mph would not have been fun.

Holy crap! As said above, definately glad you're ok. I always keep the cover closed too. I never knew this could happen though.

Was sunroof in tilt or the closed position when this happened?

good question...also did the rock bounce off the roof or went right through the glass inside the car?

might of helped if you could get info from the truck... and contact the company... note date, time, location, truck discription.

when i first saw the pic it looked like another bmw sunroof shatter, reports are comming in and it's only a few. It's been stated nothing hit the sunroofs either. btw one dealer quoted a guy 3k to replace the sunroof !?!?!?

gl with the fix , can you imagine having the sunroom shade open and kids in the back seats

ppp
