The pedal e-brake bothers me a lot. I wish it was like the coupe and had it right next to the shifter. It just feels funky to me to lift my legs up to press it so I rarely use it.

I have to admit, the center console looks 10 times better because it doesn't have the e-brake.

I don't like it - although to be fair, you're right that the console looks cleaner. And in an auto in Houston, it's not like I need it a lot. But on the Max, always used the handbrake.

IMO . . .The e-brake's location in the AT's afford a polished look becoming of a Sedan . . . The Coupe, I don't know. The e-brake's location in MT's serves a purpose.

I hated the pedal e-brake when I had my sedan. Now I have a coupe and love the regular handbrake

Having a foot-operated e-brake is just so... American. It doesn't belong in a sports sedan, as others have said.

If luxury was the goal, Infiniti could have used an electronic parking brake lever on the center console. e.g. Jaguar

It's also possible to design the e-brake lever to integrate into the console while it's down. It just takes some cleverness.

I also think the foot e-brake is a little odd for my sedan. I understand having it in my FX because that's more like a "truck", but it's just plain weird to have it on a sedan.

I found myself trying to release the e-brake G style in my Explorer last week. Then I came to my senses and pulled the release lever.

i actually like the e-brake, if it works... i nearly have to jam the whole thing to the floor to get my car to stand still on a slight incline when i let off the brake. if i press it down half way and let go my brake, its as if it wasn't even applied at all...

yeah I hate the pedal ebrake. One of very few things I've hated about the car from Day #1. I'd much rather an integrated hand e-brake in the console. To me the pedal ebrake makes it look cheap, not luxourious! I disliked the pedal brake almost enough not to buy the car! But overlooked it and peeked around the net looking for a possible converter kit...for a way to convert to a hand brake like the MT's...but shy of major mods to the console to swap an MT's and re-mod the auto-shift plate into it, there's no easy option.

very true center console looks great perhaps parking brake button like on the new audi's...might be something infiniti should consider...plus it looks cool when you push it the car lowers like and inch and a half when you press it.
