Question New owner help

Hi!

Just got a new 2007 G35 Journey
WONDERFUL car!!!

I am trying to play my MP3 player thru the jacks in the console but don't know how to connect as 2 are for audio (L+R) and one is for video.

Do I need a splitter for the player?

BTW, I don't have the NAV or Premium upgrades but do have the Bose system with 6 CD changer.

Any ideas? I'd be forever greatful!!

Hook up for AUX

Red and Black are for L&R audio. Yellow is for video. Make sure you have the input set to AUX on your screen. (it's the button below Radio) You need a mini jack to stereo RCA cable to come from your MP3 player.

very easy to find at both of those places. Just a y-splitter cable that goes from the RCA jacks (one in your car) to the 3.5mm mini jack in your mp3 player

Terrific!

One last question (I hope!).

Can any MP3 player be used, regardless of whether you've purchased the Premium or Navigation packages to play video, too? I've read that the car has to be stopped to play video, with the parking brake on. But, will the "packages" be necessary to get video to play from any MP3 player?

TIA

You sure like all the smiley face icons!

I believe you can watch video no matter what 07 sedan you get regardless of package. It should be part of the base sound system. (correct me if I'm wrong). And yes, you must be stopped to watch video - not sure if the ebrake has to be on, but you def need to be stopped.

E-brake must also be on.

and you should be able to watch it from any MP3 player that supports video. So, NO, it does not have to be an iPod.
