seats too firm...

Am I the only one who finds that the seats in the Journey model are too firm?

More specifically, the seat bottom cushions...after about 2-3 hours of driving, they really start to hurt.

I compared them to Acura and my wife's BMW, and they are noticeably harder, to the point where I find them uncomfortable.

Does anyone have any idea how hard it would be to swap out the bottom seat cushions? I am only worried about messing up the seat heater, etc.

Where are the heater elements and wiring, and the element for the passenger airbag sensor? I assume they are above the foam cushion, between the leather and the foam, right?

Maybe I should have a professional shop do this...

Seats too firm......are you serious?

Easy fix, reduce your tire pressure to 35 lbs. HAHA Seriously we have two
G35s a Vette and a BMW 5 series none of which hurt my butt on long drives.
Maybe the problem is yours and not the cars!

^It's definitely not a small job or a do it yourself one. You might be better off to carry a small cushion for those longer trips.

The heater elements/wiring will be below the foam and not between the leather and the foam.

The seats are hard. After 30 minutes of driving my legs fall asleep, they get strained.

are you guys joking? I've gone on 4-5 hour roadtrips and I don't feel any discomfort on the G35S.

*1 ^^^ I have driven as much as 1100 kms (680 miles) in one day and no real problems. I do stop every few hours to get out for a stretch and a whiz when required.

i think the seats in my g35S are very comfortable, as well as very supportive during hard driving. I will say though when I sat in my friends 04 acura TL after being very used to alot of time in my car, the first thing i said when I sat down is holy Sh$*# your seats are comfortable. They are def softer then g35s seats but not even close to be as supportive.

In my Sport I usually pump up the bottom cushion's side bolsters which helps to form a more "bucket-like" bucket seat. It Does make a difference.

You should try the seats of the Evo. They are made out of rocks.

I love the seat of our G.

A better question might be, how tall are some of you?.

I'm 5'10", no problems with legs falling asleep or seats being uncomfortable, but during hot weather, I suffer from the sweaty back. Ugh, love/hate leather.

I went out for my first longer drive yesterday and I have to say the seats were very comfortable for the entire trip. I'm pretty short at 5'8" and had no problems with my legs falling asleep, my mind however was a different story as I spent almost the entire time stuck behind motor homes. The G only got to stretch her legs to pass and get stuck behind another boring Sunday driver.
