I dont have my car yet but I must say the Infiniti navigation is wonderful. I'd have to say that it's the best navigation currently on the market. Lexus's navigation is quite nice also along with the upcoming C-class's navigation (it's brand new from Mercedes with Birdview also).

Infiniti was the first company to use Birdview correct?

None of the above............!

I didn't get it, didn't want it and I'm happy as hell I didn't! I don't need some
little girley voice telling me where to go and how to get there. If I have
questions about a destination I have maps or map quest. I've lived in Ca. for
a long time and have been everywhere from San Diego to Oregon. And besides where the nav belongs I'm planning on putting a gauge pod in that
location.....it's perfect! How sweet it is!

I like my navigational system on my '05 G coupe, but one thing I'd definitely change is that little ****... sometimes it's hard to maneuver it. But I'm 99% happy with it.

I have a megellan roadmate 800 which cost ~600 bucks, and it's nice, but not nearly as responsive as the navi i have in the G. I personally wanted to navi b/c it's convenient to have, and the extra features didn't hurt to justify the purchase. And i wasn't expecting to have the voice commands and what not that came with it. I didn't realize it had it till i bought it, and It makes it so much better. I had to go to restaurants that i've never been to lately, and by just saying the address people give me to meet them, i can find my way there.

It's not bad, my Garmin C330 Streetpilot does work much better though, but the OEM nav does have better graphics.
I have used both units on a 4,000 km (2,400 mile) trip side by side and the Garmin absolutely performed better than the OEM unit in my 07.

The nav is nice but honestly I never use it, that being said I use the music box and xm radio every day so I don't regret dropping the extra bank at all.

it should be touch screen, the little **** is a PITA, both the Lexus and the Acura system are more user friendly. That being said, I still love the little devil...I call her Natasha...

I only got the navi cuz i wanted the tech package. I still use my Garmin Nuvi b/c the stupid infiniti system won't let me make changes while moving. I understand that it's a safety/liability issue, but it's still a pain.

Even if you never use the map features to get around, the integrated Traffic info (with XM Traffic Info subscription) is wonderful. Sure, I usually know where I'm going, but in L.A., knowing where the traffic jams are is....priceless.

Hmmm.. well I have used my brother's Infiniti navigation (he has a G35 coupe)... and I've used the navigation in the 2007 G35 sedan before (friend's mom's car on the way to San Fransisco)... I'd have to say that's enough to justify an opinion. Just because I don't have a car doesn't mean that I've never used it before. I guess I should've added that information in there. I also have used the navigation in the Lexus IS and the 2008 C-class when I test drove the vehicle.

It's nice to know that someone openly hates me... *sighs* I still don't know why though.
