Anyone have a Blackberry 8830
OK. So, in another thread I stated that I'm having a problem with my Treo 650 and the G35x hanging up on people.
I'm due for a new phone and I'm wondering if anyone out there has a Blackberry 8830 and uses it in their G35 with Navi. If you have this combo . . .
How has it worked?
Have you tested call waiting?

I need to be able to use my phone in the car for work and my current phone is problematic.

I think I'll order one after I try it out at a local Verizon store. I also need to talk to the tech guy at work about setting it up to get my email.

8830 Works Great
I have the 8830 and an 07 G35X. Works great in all aspects and I am on the phone in my car all day. The only problem with the phone itself is that the ringer is not loud enough when you use the phone outside the car. Unless the phone is on vibrate and in my pocket, I miss calls sometimes. If you get the phone, put the ring tone on "Calypso" it is the loudest ring tone.
I went from a treo 650 also and had the same problems that you are having. You will be amazed at how much better the 8830 is with your cars bluetooth. It even shows your phones signal strength and allows you to make calls on it through the voice command. Bith by dialing numbers and by voice tags.
I am convinced you will be very happy with it.

That is so strange about the ringer volume...because mine is crazy loud. I have it on a progressive ring where it starts low and gets louder, and I have it set on the low volume version of the tone because the loud version is just too loud.
So strange...must be those oh so slight differences in area manufactured or something.

Otherwise, I imported my phone book with no problem and did pretty much everything else the Bluetooth link is capable of.
