How do I know if I'm eligible for a new key fob?
I have not received any letters or e-mails from Infiniti regarding the Key Fob replacement, but seems like a lot of you have.
My car was built in January 2007 and was purchased in April.
Will I receive the new key fobs? I have not had any problems yet, but little worried.

 

I believe this issue hasn't been addressed yet, meaning no new keys have been distributed yet. You will most likely get a letter when Infiniti is ready to start the recall.

 

You should also call up Infiniti to make sure your car is registered in their system. The dealer I purchased from failed to register my car in their system. I ended up having to fax them a copy of the sales agreement.

 

You may have just missed this issue with your car. Check with your dealer. When I picked up my G (build date October 2006) the salesman gave me a copy of the letter.

 

oh, i see.. may be that is why.. i'll call up my dealer right away...

 

But new keys are not out yet correct? I beleive new cars still being sold still can have the issue, correct?
