Need help on color difference of the 2 exterior reds used in 2006 and 2007

I'm looking at purchasing a Garnet Ember G35 2008. I saw a 2006 in red. It seems to have a slight off red tint, possibly rust/orange tint. The car was somewhat dirty so I could not get a nice view of it. I think in 2006 the red was called Garnet Fire Pearl. The 2007/2008 G35 color is Garnet Ember. Could any one tell if the Garnet Ember is more red and/or has any off tint? I have been trying to see this color in the sun but only saw it once on a cloudy day on a 2007 G35.

I have seen some of the pics here in Garnet Ember and they do seem to be more of a true red. I don't want to depend on a color by seeing it on a monitor.

Thanks for any input.

The 2007 garnett ember is WAY different. Very bright red, and not at all off tinted like the 2006. I'm not a fan of the new red - too bright.

Yeah, the previous Garnet Fire is a much different type of red than the new Garnet Ember. GF was more of a deeper red that I found had kind of a burgundy tone to it. The GE is a much brighter red than GF. I have found that GE has a split personality. In direct sunlight, it's a brighter red than really shows off it's metallic nature. On cloudy days or during the evenings, it's a much deeper red. Anyways, it's really a great looking red IMO.

Go check out the Garnet Ember at your Infiniti dealer. When I bought my 03.5 I had seen the red they used on the coupe and figured it was Garnet Fire... then I went and actually LOOKED at a red sedan. Yuck.

Garnet Ember looks much sportier than Garnet Fire, cops and Civics being driven on cut springs an inch off the ground will notice you much more readily. I bought Ivory Pearl.

I think perhaps you may be biased.
