About 08 Sedan...not sure if motortrend is making typos
For anyone whos familiar with motortrend, once a year they have the issue with all the 2008-2009 car models. Listed in alphabetical order each company has there cars, with a little summery of it, some kind of fact and then a star based rating system at the bottom. Ive had this issue for over a month and never noticed this until today. On page 126 of the september issue of motor trend, they have the infiniti g35/g37 and quoted directly from it is.
"The G35 Sedan carries over at 3.5L and 306hp, but adds an AWD option to its Sport model and gains an iPod jack.
I usually hear things from my cousin when big changes are being made, like the g37 having the 3.7 motor about a year before it came out. I'm going to ask him about this tuesday when hes back from vacation.
If they make a Sport AWD, and give it a 6mt...that would be absolutly insane.

Negative, the X will still only come in 5AT, but will get the other features that come with the current S (sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, and optional 4-wheel active steer, maybe other stuff).
Remember, the '07 is available as Sport and Sport 6MT, so Sport doesn't necessarily mean you get 3 pedals.
BTW: I could probably overlook the minivan dashboard on the new G if I could get AWD with 6 gears, but it's not going to happen, so I'll be keeping my 03.5 6MT.

This news was discussed here in June so it's old news more or less. I think what was concluded was:
08 G35X will have optional sport package giving it larger rims, the aggressive front bumper, side skirts, and sportier suspension. It will still be a G35X though and not a G35S or G35SX or G35XS or anything like that.
While on that subject, there was a rumor that the G35S will only be 6MTs for 08 and on. You can still get a G35 5AT w/ the Sport Package which is identical to the 07 G35S, but for 08 it won't have the 'S' badge on it. Not sure if there's any truth to that.

What will be the different suspension to the AWD version if you get a sport AWD?

If the 08 sedan turns out to come with an optional 6MT gearbox and AWD after all, I'll seriously consider trading in. I already have the winter set anyways. The single most important thing I regret for not getting is the manual gearbox. An 08' 6MT in AWD will prove to be a dream come true that will be very hard for me to pass on.
