Just got my first oil change done on my 07 35x. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it down to the dealership to have it done, and brought it to a local lube place. After having it done, I keep getting a warning displaying an oil filter, wondering if they ripped me off and didnt replace it, or if it is loose or something I don;t even know about. Would appreciate it if someone could help me out.

 

That's nothing to worry about it's just a maintenance reminder and you can reset it if you scroll through the options on the dot matrix display. See Pages 2-21 through 2-29 in manual for details.

 

Yeup. Nothing to worry about.

You can even change the intervals of the reminders.

I set mine to 5000 just today after an oil change. (Synthetic now.)

 

Recently had my oil changed at a local lube place....Ever since, I get a warning saying my oil filter is full when I start my car. Any ideas on if I was ripped off or if it is loose, or something Im not thinking of...would appreciate the help....

 

Just a maintenance reminder. You can reset it by accessing this setting in your trip computer. Car has to be running to reset. It's detailed in your owner's manual.
