G37 Sedan?

Will there ever be a G37 sedan?
There was a thread a few months ago saying there wont be one, but i remember someone posted info on a FX37 and FX50 about 2 weeks ago i think. I really like the G sedan and would love to get one but i don't want to get a G35 sedan if there will be a G37 sedan coming out.

I doubt it. I don't think Infiniti wants anything that can outrun the G37 and if the sedan came with that engine, the sedan would actually probably be faster since its lighter.

The funny thing about that is that it's already faster.

Exactly. Not unless they add another 200 lbs to the 07 Sedan and add the 3.7, which would be the dumbest move ever. It's fine with the 3.5; I'd rather have a 306 hp @ 3500 lbs than a 330 hp @ 3700 lb automobile.

If anything, Infiniti will probably just add the VVEL technology to the VQ35HR (thus, making it a VQ35VHR).

.

I don't think the 07 G Sedan is faster than G37 Coupe but I think they acually are pretty close. and to me, that's awesome having the Sedan that is about as fast as the coupe.

That's an interesting possibility. I wonder if it would cost Nissan more to implement VVEL to the VQ35HR than just sticking the VQ37VHR into the sedan.

Nevertheless, I'd still be happy if the sedan got VVEL but not the extra 200 cc's of displacement.

Why is the coupe so heavy? Does it have the 4ws by default?

Forget VVEL... Give me a VQ35HR with direct injection, and I'll be happy.

2nd on that one.

Direct injection should be good for an extra 40hp and 2mpg. Win win.

Just adding VVEL? 10hp and 0.5 mpg?? maybe?

And/Or.... they could/should add a gear to the automatic. Make it a 6 speed auto.

It could definitely use another gear. There's no reason the car should cruise at 3k rpm on the hwy with as much torque as this engine has.
