I just told the Service Manager to check out my grill because it was pitting so badly, and I was not happy with it. He did so, and ordered me a new one, which they installed at my next service.

Little black spots all over the grille where the finish is missing.

Here have a look at this thread, there are pics showing the pitting : Click Here

Don't let them BS you. It doesn't matter where you bought your G. It is pitting and it is not your fault. They replaced mine under warranty. No question was asked. 6 months ago and since no pitting.

Someone else posted a thread about their wheels, they were replaced under warranty. You should be able to find it, but that's the gist.

I got my grill replaced this morning along with the molding on the out side of the driver window which was causing wind noise. The service lady offered to replace it after i pointed it out to her last week. The dealership was aware of the problem and switched them out in 10 min. They didnt let me keep the old grill

Im not going to rant about the service around here... AGAIN! So pissed though, I need the molding AND grill replaced.

Funny avatar though. I got an American Bulldog right before all of that broke, and being a VT grad, I ALMOST named him Vick. Luckily, I went with Frank the Bulldog!

I tried to get them to replace the grill.

It didn't happen. It's pitted due to rocks on the highway (just like the rest of the front bumper).

Those definitely aren't covered under warranty. This didn't surprise me though.

I tried, and tried pretty hard (I know the GM at the dealership).

But, what do you expect? Since when are rock chips covered under warranty? It's one thing if the chrome bubbles up and starts peeling off for no reason, but if the damage is from road debris.......... you're fighting a losing battle. If for some reason the dealership DOES replace the grill, they're going above and beyond for you.
