Cool Had a talk with another G35 Journey Owner

So i was at a gas station while a mid-age guy pulles up next to me on a Platinum Grey G35. We started tlakin about the cars...this and that....then he asked me how much i got mine for, so i told him $39,800 G35S Fully loaded (nav, tech, sport). He gave $20k down and pais $300 a month for it. He doesnt have navi or anything else it. And on top of it all he covered his seats with some Fur coveres EWWW
So does anyone else thinks he got ripped off?

I am financing a Journey with premium pkg, sport wheels and Sirius for $500 above invoice:
$10k down, $500/60mos @ 5.6%APR = $40k.

Now for that guy:
$20k down, $300/60mos = $38k
$20k down, $300/48mos = $34.4k
$20k down, $300/36mos = $30.8k

It's hard to say whether he got a good deal w/o exactly knowing his model and package options, but I think from the above numbers, he most likely did not get ripped off (unless he is financing a base model w/ZERO options for 48 or 60months).

I agree, sounds like he did alright but w/ out knowing the specifics it's hard to say for sure. I would not have put $20K down though!

If that's the case then I think he made bad deal unless he is financing for only 36 months in which case he made a great deal.

$20k down payment? Shoot, I'd buy any car in full if I had the spare cash. =P

Me. Well, 17K. But it helps bring the monthly payment down - that's what its all about for me at least.... If I can pay $300/month and drive an Aston Martin, that's affordable, haha.
