So I placed my order Aug. 1 for an '08 G35 Sport 6MT Sedan and was given a Nov. 7th delivery date 2 weeks later.

Then this date jumped forward to Oct. 7th.

Now it's gone back to Nov. 7th.



I went from like 2 weeks away to a month and 2 weeks away

 

Frustrating but it will be worth it. Mine had slipped about a month when I took delivery of my '07.

 

That is frustrating. That's why I focus on buying what's in stock. Instant gratification. I was even able to find about 4 6MTs at dealers within about a 20 mile radius. Of course, it helps to be in a major market like Los Angeles w/ many dealers to choose from.

Depending on where you're located, you may want to start calling around other dealers to see if they have a car spec'd the way you want it available now. My closest dealer (2 miles away) told me there were no 08 blk/blk sports w/ nav, premium AT available in all of Southern California. I called the next closest dealer and they located one immediately.

 

Yea... there are no other dealers within 100 miles of my zip code (Kansas City) when searching on Infiniti's site.

The next closest is Omaha, Nebraska and i've contacted them but don't think they're very intelligent, so i'm probably better off at my dealer.

It just sucks to only have this 1 dealer around here because it kills negotiation ability and limits the number of cars available.
