3 dealers should be enough. Just tell them straight up - give it to you for invoice and they've earned your business. Don't budge and just be ready to walk.

In times like these, you have the opp to save yourself ALOT of money. Also, they need the sales ... don't let any dealer tell you sales are going "well".

I think its really high ... it is not invoice ... and at this point I think it is a steep to pay more than invoice !
And even the other models, they are not selling at invoice (there is only 3 dealers and there price are $1k above the invoice) !!! WTF !!!

If some of you bought Gs in the DFW area, any feedbacks would be appreciate

thanks
im in the same boat you are, and strangely enough, the same area. Went to Grubbs, and i got that story recently, and I'll be looking at Crest this week. Grubbs didnt have ANY journey with sport and premium in stock, but i checked Crest's dealership lot last night, and they had about 4-5.

Just curious to see where you went.

Yes, the only one that have sport, premium and the color I really want (In the end I do not care about the color), was crest and he quoted me $33,900 OTD (wheel lock + windows tint) .... Too freaking expensive !!!
I told the guy I wanted invoice and his respond was : "it is a invoice kind of a deal" (So why are you $1000 above invoice ... ) That pisses me off.
I am just doing that by emails. I ask grubbs, crest and sewel quote by emails.
Sewel chages $750 for getting a sport and premium package, because of the transport and tint + lowjack.
So in the end crest is supposed to have the best deal.

I tried to lower the price in order to be at invoice minus $150/$200 minus $4k incentive, and I think it is not too greedy considering the economic situation and the fact that we are in the end of january ... the guy told me : 'I need to make a profit on the car' .. well even if the car was $500 under invoice he would make profit ...

But please give me feedback on your trip to crest Thanks

The latest deal I was quoted today was an additional incentive. So, there is the 3K + 1K off invoice and an additional $1500 that supposedly some dealers got. So for a G35X with nav/prem and an invoice of $36,600, the final price would be $31,100 w/out TTL. We're going to a dealer to test drive tomorrow and I will ask them about this extra incentive as it is not the same dealer that called and told me about it.

I'm in Detroit area, but dealer in western michigan is quoting me for a total of $8k below MSRP for a 6MT w/premium and spoiler. The deal is VPP price plus $5k in cash rebates. Sticker is $37,130, and OTD w/TTL is $31,280. What do you guys think?

Hey DFW Folks

try calling the 2 dealers in Oklahoma and get a quote. Then take that back to the dealer in DFW and you will be happy.

I had to get a quote from Dallas before I got the price I wanted in OKC.

Could you be more specific? How much did you pay ?
Did you drive yourself back to DFW with the car ?
What is the name of the dealer ?

Thanks

Damn guys ... fraking good deals ! My first choice was the 6MT but there is nothing in my area
How did you get the 5k cash rebates ? I mad of my area with these s***tty price !
I got a quote from the largest infiniti dealer in houston .... the guy gave me $3,000 under invoice (including the incentives) .... Before, I was telling him not to give me an insane price like the DFW area ... his price is worse ... That's not fair

I know of the $4k in rebates right now, but others have been saying that there's $5k or even $5.5k? Im just wondernig where the additional $1000-$1500 is coming from.

just remember to negotiate the price to below invoice before you factor in any incentives. $8K off of msrp is roughly $4-5K off of invoice, depending on options.

I was the one who claimed an aditional $1000-1500. Apparently some dealers get these certificates that are worth $500 each or something like that and they only get so many. The can give them out as rebates to customers if they choose. The one dealer I went to yesterday said they used all of theirs back in December. From what I understand it is a way to generate more sales, so they don't record a loss at the end of the year.

08 G35 Prem/Nav/Tech - $34,400 OTD

Just before Christmas some lady chose to run a red light here in Houston. Although I plowed into her (I broke to avoid being hit on my driver's side) my G35 I had for 3 months was totalled out. That 2008 G35 was bought for 29,700 with prem/nav and 6,600 miles.

Seeking to get a near identical car, I managed to score a new 08 in Platimum Graphite/Charcoal with premium/nav/tech/cargo-net/trunk-mat/tint/splash guards for $34,400 out the door (TTL included) at Crest Infiniti in Plano. They essentially matched (and actuall beat) the $6300 off all G35 08's that I found advertised at Sewell Infiniti in Dallas.

After insurance payout, it cost me $600 bucks out of pocket to "upgrade" to the tech package, and to roll off nearly 8,000 miles from my odomoter.

The guys at Crest were great to work with, but unsure what stock they had left. Cars w/ nav are harder and harder to find right now.
