I am going to get a Compustar Pro Series installed this friday with the I-Datalink.

Whats this about not having to press the start button, that doesnt sound right to me!!

HAs anybody had their rear defrost hooked up? I am also going to do my windows rollup and sunroof roll up as well.

I do not recommend using the keyfob to remote start, and would rather recommend using a 2 way paging alarm.

I found the distance on my keyfob rediculously short, and its only a few hundred more to go with a full blown remote start two way.

I am currently working with the installer to figureout if i can disable the aftermarket alarm witht eh push button door handles. It appears to be doable!!!!

i have had the compustar pro installed on my previous car and my installer also recommended the i-data link. I just think this car is too nice to have all the wires chopped up LOL so I would probably never go down the road.....but I may think about installing motion sensors or shock sensors into the stock alarm if it can be done cleanly and simply. Just so that if someone breaks your window etc the alarm comes on.

There isnt a car that is nice enough that you can't chop up the wires!!

It only makes a car better!!!

Curious, was this where the car tries to turn over for a split second then stops, almost like the battery is dead?

Is one of those where it uses the Intellikey by pushing lock 3 times? I'm up in CT but go to LI around the Northport area often.

How long would you need the car for if I made an appointment?

Am taking it to Lockdown Security.

Mine will be the first G35 2nd gen they will do. I have read up on them and very positive reviews.

I also discused the possibility to use the door handle buttons to disable the alarm.
