Deer Damaged My G35S

Well, after 47 years of driving, I finally had the opportunity to hit a deer. It happened last Saturday in the South Dakota Black Hills. My wife and I were tooling along at the posted speed of 65MPH and a deer jumped out in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and I believe I was able to slow down to about 30MPH when I hit it. G35 has excellent brakes. Killed the deer - the impact flung him off to the side of the road. Not a lot of damage to the G. Driver side headlight assembly broken-up, bumper cover broken near hood and grill was slightly broken. On the positive side, it could have been worse - no engine damage and was able to drive back to Minneapolis (600 miles). Also, I expect to get a new grill

Although it made me sick at first that my new G was damaged, I am sure the body shop can get it back to like new condition.

Everyone - watch out for those deer - tis the season.

Haha. I'd say the G is aimed for the mid aged people.

He'd say the same thing if he knew your age.

Glad you're OK!!
The G's brakes are nothing short of phenomenal....

Especially with the preview braking feature.
I felt them kick in the other day - and the car next to me stopped at least 20 feet past me.

Glad you're ok bro.

My sis in law hit a deer with her Pathfinder while doing 75 on the highway. It took the body shop a week to scrap off the blood from the engine bay
