got my keys swapped today...

got my keys swapped today...

and they let me keep one of my old ones. souvenir for when my g35 is long gone, i suppose

lucky you, mine didnt let me keep either for a remote starter. does the old one still work?

i just tried it... NO. it no longer works.

i might be able to get it to work, i dunno.

The dealer has to reprogram the keys to work .... and IIRC, all the keys must be reprogrammed at the same time (well one after the other ) - otherwise the missing keys would stop working.

Makes sense if you think about it. ....

I haven't received my letter from Infiniti yet. S/N 12000 range. Guess they are sending out in some sort of order?

Don't wait to get the letter. Just make an appt. I didn't receive the letter and am going in on Saturday to get mine.

I never got my old ones back either

Plus it looks like they took apart my existing ones because now they have little gaps between the two halves of the key.

Has anyone gotten the new keys and have the dealership program 2 new keys and 2 old keys so you woluld have a total of 4 keys for spares

Did receive my letter today. So there is a method to their mailing schedule it seems.

I'd love to know this as well. When I called my dealership (near Toronto), they said no, but that was a few weeks ago.

I went to dealership today to get my second oil change. I dropped off my car and the two fobs so they could swap em out. I didn't leave the mechanical key (blades) in fobs. The dealership called me a few hours later and said I needed to bring the blades up in order to program my new fobs. (wtf) They said the blades have a chip in them that need while doing the programming. The service rep was a noob (been there 3 weeks) because he let walk out with my blades. Just a heads up for when you take your fobs in for the swap.
