Cool Treo 650 and Call Waiting

Wondering if anyone else has this problem - I have a Treo 650 that works well with my 2007 G35x (with navi/tech) - can make and receive calls. Only problem is if I am on a call and another call comes in (call waiting) the car disconnects BOTH calls! Very frustrating. The Treo by itself (not paired with the phone) works well with call waiting - no problems.

Anyone??!!??

I have a Treo 700wx and the bluetooth functionality (at least in my G) sucks. it always connects and disconnects for no reason.

My Treo 650 did the same thing, and so did the 700P until I installed the recent Verizon update. Now the 700P works great, except the incoming caller ID on the display is not right.

Same here. I've read on treo boards that its the bluetooth stack on the phone itself.

Yeah, the forums on the Palm site are quite lengthy about the BT problem.
It doesn't work well in most cars.

I have the Samsung Blackjack, and it works very well with the G35 bluetooth. No dropped calls or bluetooth connectivity problems.

I started a thread about a month or two ago because I was having the exact same problem. I talked to Infiniti (both the dealer and corporate), Verizon, and Palm. Everyone basically said it's a problem with the phone's software. AFAIK there's no software update being released in the immediate future either by Palm or Infiniti which will correct the problem.

The only way to fix it is to get a new phone or have the phone company deactivate your call waiting. If you buy a new phone make sure it's on the approved phone list on Infiniti's website. I got a Blackberry 8830 and it's worked flawlessly. Plus, it's MUCH smaller than my Palm was and actually a little more versatile.
