I think XM is a requirement if you want NavTraffic, but I think you can get Sirius....the button on the dash says "SAT" not "XM" so I would think you could switch.

THis is true, Navigagtion system comes only with XM, but after the 3 months free trial i let it go because i didnt like it at all. I have had sirius for 2 years and went back to it after the 3 free months. Im just waiting for the day this year when sirius buys XM and hopefully i can get my sirius channels thru the car/

XM is now standard with the G35, don't see Sirius listed as an option anywhere.

Sirius isn't buying XM - it was the other way around with XM going to purchase and then merge with Sirius, but it got shot down since they're the only two satellite radio companies out there - no monopolies in the good ole US and A.

According to the wiki (so this could be bogus):
Quote:
On October 4, 2007, Sirius and XM satellite radio shareholders announced that both companies will schedule a meeting on Tuesday November 13, 2007, to vote on the proposed merger at 9:00 AM, New York City time, in the Auditorium at The Equitable Center, 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, New York 10019.
The deal will give shareholders of each of the companies approximately 50% of the new company and increase the total shares outstanding in the new company to approximately 2.85 billion. The CEO of sirius will be the CEO of the new company and the Chairman of XM will be the Chairman of the new company.

That's right, it wasn't standard until '08. And, per infiniti.com, it's also standard on the G37, with no mention of Sirius as an option.

If they've left the tuner in the same place that it's located in the non-nav equipped 07 sedans you can probably replace the tuner and antenna with OEM parts but it won't be cheap.

It must be available as my dealership has a Sirius advertisement set up in the waiting area.

news to me. the tuner and antenna are different? I was under the impression that it was just the service that was different. But now that I think about it the antenna ports on the back of receivers is different for each. Man that sux, I was thinking of going with sirius after my 3 month trial was over. oh well, I'll just put the ipod in the place of the sat. radio.
