Sorry to hear about your accident. I can only imagine out much that sucks. Like most of us G enthusiasts we cringe when we get a door ding or scratch our rim - getting a G totaled has got to be devastating but you seem to be handling it pretty well - good for you. let us know when you get your new G!

Ya I have slight whiplash, but other than that i'm fine. New one is an already decided blue slate/black g35 nav, tech, and premium. He was driving like crazy. Before he hit me, I saw him go onto the oncoming traffic lane doing 60A car was coming and he had to dodge it and hit me when I was at a red light turning left. He barely had time to brake, and therefore hit me at 50.

wow, yeah, i'd get a lawyer and sue the pants of that guy, (especially the medical portion, besides, you'll get medical/physical treatment that your body probably needs anyways) that'll teach him to drive safer and stop endangering the public...
so sad... hate to see a new car in a junk yard or some body shop...

I feel your pain. I went thru the same thing 3 years ago this December. For any of you who familiar with NJ's route 80 east at that time knows that the Express road (2 laner) was under construction/repairs as you get to the last exit before the GW bridge. Now, there came a point where all had to merge into one lane and crawl out. Some lady (in a Crown Vic) plowed in to my 2000 Passat at about 65 mph. Yeah, it was totaled. She wrecked a few other cars in the process, but since I was the last in line, I bore the brunt of it all.
I went thru her insurance (glad I did) and wound up getting 5k more than Kelly Blue Book. If you choose to go thru the other person's insurance, make sure you contact their carrier to confirm what their insurance limits are. If you find out that they have like only 5-10k worth of coverage, by all means, go thru your own insurance so that you're covered.
Good luck
