Front Plates Options

Since I bought my G from another town will my local dealer still drill the holes for me? I know I can do it myself but I dont want to mess with it if they can do it for free.

I thought about ziptie it to the front grill instead of drilling. Anyone tried that and have pics? I searched but had trouble finding answers other than using the stillen plate holder

i've held a plate to a bumper using just 3M double sided tape (sort of like the type used to attach trim to the body).

This way there are no holes, and trust me, the plate isn't going anywhere.

It was a european plate on my VW, and till I got tired of having it there.

When I pulled it off it bent the plate in half before it let go.

Just let the dealer drill it for you, unless you want to do it the stillen way like what i did...

Or just ride without one. I pass cops all the time without a front without issue. Watch out of parking maids (in otherwards park in private lots and not high traffic surface street meters where you might get a $25 fix me ticket).

I second this suggestion. I used 3M double sided tape on my 87 Maxima and the plate stayed on for years w/ no problems whatsoever.

When I bought my car, I asked for the front plate holder not to be installed. They gave me the bracket anyways, and told me to use double sided tape if I ever needed to install it.
