Thoughts and opinions after ICC fix (ECU REFLASH) and X loaner

So i got my g35s in April with zero miles on it and now i have 19,000. I had every single one of the TBS recalls done because of the problems that occured. For starters, i brought my car in for its first time at 19,000 and there was no warranties or anything voided for not getting all the proper check ups.
I asked the guy to reflash the ECU to th 08. He had no clue what i was talking about and looked at me like i was just looking for extra power or something. After explaining my problem he suggested the ICC fix. I got that don and let me tell you its a world of difference. If you own a 07g35 i suggest you get in your car right now and go get it donw. Its a world of difference. I dont think its flashed with the 08 firmware but instead just updates remapping of the air/fuel ratio. I dont care if its the 08 software or not, it drives much better. I dont drink starbucks but if I did this fix would save me from spilling it at stops. Even at cruising speeds you can notice the smoothness.
On a side note the dealer would not let me keep my old i-keys incase something happened. Also for my 15,000 miles check up it was 315 bucks. Kinda alot of money for a hyped up oil change.
As a loaner they gave me an 07g35x with no options. Let me tell you I am sooooooooooooooo happy that i went with the fully loaded sport. The sound system was GARBAGE in it, the seats didnt have the thigh extender, no back up camera, my headlights didnt turn around corners. The X did not feel even nearly as fast as the Sport, dont know if this is true when looking at numbers but it felt that way. I dunno overall I just didnt enjoy my time driving the X.
Everyone is always asking is the Navi worth it this and that. YES IT IS once you have all the options at your finger tips, even if you dont use them, you will miss them once they are gone, and if you are deciding between getting all the options and not getting all the optoins, save up an extra few thousand and get all the options, i promise you wont be dissapointed.

Maybe I'm just not reading right...but did you get an ICC fix or an 08 ECU reflash(essentially the downhill cruise surge TSB)?

I don't believe so. It appears sensor just comes out the front. SM appears to go over more about aiming the replacement than anything else.

It sounds like he got the TSB cruise control surge reflash fix.

According to the TSB, it's not for cars with ICC though.

TSB has been revised to include ICC equipped vehicles.

hey SaratogaG35, do you take your G to LIA Infiniti? Are they the one that charged you the ~$300 oil change? I got my new key fobs, cruise control flash, and the disappearing voice tags update 2 weeks ago there. My G's accel is now much smoother after the reflash, I'm glad it was done. I also asked the service rep to find out about the possibility of removing the trunk cd changer and replace it with a new liner for me, however, they weren't so helpful.
I had an 06 loaner for the day...respect to the generation before, but I was really happy to get back into my 07 that afternoon

Yup Lia is the place. I mean i got more than just an oil change but it was a rip off. They tried getting me to buy new sports tires before the winter i told them they wre crazy but besides that they are pretty nice people over there. The 06 is nice but cant compare to the new wonderful body style. I love this car.
