Sport bumper on a Journey

I was wondering if any of y'all put the sport bumper on the journey? When i bought the car, i chose the journey b/c i thought the front bumper looked more G35ish, since pretty much all cars have the big hole in the middle with smaller holes on each side. But when i bought the car the dealership had holes drilled in the bumper for front plate (i dont need a front plate) and i really don't like looking at the holes, so i figure i'd buy a new front bumper, and i might as well get the sport bumper, so i can switch up when i want.

So i was wondering, will the plastic underneath the car fit with the different bumper?
Where is the best place to get the bumper?
Has anyone done it?

You could always put a custom airbrushed front plate on the car and cover those holes (and save a few hundred bucks)

Maybe I'm not understanding...you bought the Journey because you didn't like the sport bumper but now that you have the bumper holes in the journey bumper you're going to replace it with the sport bumper?

mzannad is replacing his bumper, and according to one of his posts he is putting the sport bumper on a journey. I think he's getting his under insurance from the dealer though. OEM not going to be cheap. You might as well go aftermarket if you truly are going to get a new bumper. If I were you I'd look into bumper plugs or something though. Like blnewt said...save yourself a few hundred that could go into much better things on your car.

i want a sport bumper, b/c i already have a journey bumper, and don't feel like shelling out $$$ for the same bumper minus 2 holes. I figure my bumper has no defects besides the holes, so i would have both bumpers for my car, and I can switch up the look of my car whenever i want...

Like mentioned above, just get the plugs that go into the holes. No need to buy a whole new bumper.

If you want a sport bumper and waste money on it, do it. It's your money, not ours.

yeah, i'd just plug up the holes for now,

just wait until some company make some body kits that you like, and it'll probably be cheaper than what you'll pay for oem bumper...

I understand what you mean about the sprot bumper I have a journey and like the overall look of the sport bumper better to. I think the cars layout is pretty much the same so you shouldn't have a problem putting that bumper on your car. When I worked for an mobile electronics/ performance store I had a customer with a 330ci he bought an m3 bumper from bmw and had us install it for him. Everything mounted up just fine. If you are going to buy the sport bumper then go through Infiniti only, don't get a replica bumper or something like that OEM always fits the best (but it will cost you). Well in the immortal words of Snopp "it costs to be the boss" lol Post up before and after pics when you have it done.

Hi guys, sorry I'm late on this! The bumper only costs $375 its installing it and painting it that is the problem, the body shop wants $452!!! I'm not going through insurance, so this is all pretty heavy on me right now. I already bought the bumper and their installing it on Monday, they say it is going to take three days.

I too always want what I can't have. I wanted an auto coming from a manual. Now I want a manual after having the auto, and I'm sure if I get a manual I will want an auto again. Plus, I wanted grey after having black, now I want black again, but then I wouldn't want black.
