Seems like this is the week for winter tires.
225/55-17 Dunlop M3's here. Pre-mounted on simple Borbet FS rims from Tirerack.

Hey Pistol Pete, our G35 S6Ms are twins. And I was about to get precisely your wheel and tire set up but decided to go with all season Goodyear F1s on OEM wheels, figuring here in NYC I may be able to get by without a winter set up.
Let us know what difference the no staggered set up makes and how the Dunlop M3s handle.

Hey RCK!
Haven't had a chance to put too many miles on the tires yet. I work in the city so that car stays parked during the week. The ride is more quiet and a touch softer than the OEM Bridgestones, but that was to be expected.
During the winter I make many trips to Hunter/Windham and all over the Poconos for skiing so I figured I better be safe than sorry. My previous car with an A4 Quattro and I had a winter setup for that too. I used to drive into snow covered fields and lots just to screw around.
Somehow I don't think I'll be trying that with a RWD car, winter tires or not!
Jayjay, my setup was $1300 shipped from Tirerack. I didn't want to go for the cheapest rims (17" are the smallest that fit) so I went one level up. On tires I wanted good dry road performance so I didn't skimp on those.

Put my snows on last friday cuz I had the day off . The car isn't the same without the summer tires, but oh well, it's still a fun car.
JayJay:
I paid around roughly 900 bucks out the door for my winter setup.
300 for the rims, 600 for the tires (H-rated Michelin Pilot Alpin 2 PA2), including tax, installation, everything.
The rims are cheap *** rims I got from discount tire. They're sorta ugly, but it's winter. I'm looking for functional .
