You posted the regular Journey sport package. The AWD (G35X) sport package only includes all-season tires. They also aren't staggered.

Evo and STI come with summer tires by default and they're AWD. AWD is not just about better traction in snow. It can be about better traction on pavement for launching and other things.
Summer tires are indeed terrible in snow, which is why you'd still swap winter tires for an AWD performance vehicle for winter.
However, given the target audience of an entry level sport sedan (especially an AWD one) all season tires makes more sense for factory, but if I were ever to get a G35X, i'd be swapping those all seasons for dedicated summer and winter tires pretty quickly. But then again, I like my RWD cars
