Using XM Traffic

Okay, I know, this is probably in the book, but for the life of me, I can't find the answer. If I touch the "Traffic" icon on the upper right on my nav screen, it goes to a "move" looking symbol on the screen, which changes the view, but, and sorry if I'm being an idiot here, LOL, nothing seems to be happening on the screen, seems to be following the route, but very slowly. Please anyone knows where this is in the nav book, please give me th page number.
I plead lost on this one, I do know what the buttons below the mode button mean though, LOL!

I fell for this at first too.. the traffic up in the top right is just a notification that it's enabled/active. you don't need to do anything to use it.

you can view the nearby traffic by clicking info, and then traffic. I find that 100% of the time it returns blank results, I have to back up, then hit it again and then results return... anyone have this bug?

AFAIK, the traffic info works just fine in mine. I read that it depends on how good the traffic monitoring in your city is.

Luckily, it's really good in Houston

Yes, I have the same problem. It seems that when you initially go into the traffic information screen it fails to download any updates - i.e. it brings up the information from the last download. Then I have to hit the 'Back' button and reselect 'Nearby Traffic Info.' so the system will download the current traffic conditions.

Also, I would like to thank the 'geniuses' at Infiniti for programming the traffic function not to scroll past the current screen while driving! This in my view significantly diminishes the utility of this feature.

With regard to the former issue, is there a TSB?

Regards,
