I think its lame that Inifiniti couldn't give us a years subscription with the purchase of the car. I don't think 3 months is enough for one to get hooked on the subscription. Plus Sirius kicks XM's butt up and down the block! lol If they merge I will renew.

I doubt Infiniti is paying a dime to XM for the three months. XM is probably either giving it away free or has paid Infiniti for the opportunity. Sounds like you'd prefer Sirius whether it was for one year or three months.

Thanks, it's probably just our backward system here in NM then, hope it improves.

Thus far it has only told me of traffic that I already knew about. LOL

I just subscribed after my 3 month trial ran out. I asked for the $77 deal and they gave it to me without a question.

Can you get Sirius instead of XM? And still get XM Traffic?

I have Sirius right now and prefer the content. But I would be interested in the XM Traffic feature. Is that possible? At the $2 add-on fee?

I know we have a digital road info system here, there's a unit on the main street behind my house, but I don't know how XM can claim the coverage is here if it isn't, I'm going to contact them and cry false advertising for sure, maybe that will get some answer.

You can get the XM NavTraffic by itself, but it costs $9.95 a month.

The XM site lists Albuquerque, NM as part of their Traffic coverage area. http://www.xmradio.com/navtraffic/market_coverage.xmc

They are not everywhere and not on every road.

Yeah, but according to their site, a few of the roads I travel, I-40 for instance, are, and all I ever get is "no information sent" (or something like that), I called anf got one guy who told me there wasn't a "repeator" near here, whatever that means.

do you have to be a non-subscriber? because i'm currently subcribing to the traffic only service for $9.99/month. i wonder if i can get the same deal if i contact them? $9.99 for both radio and traffic is a great deal.

My code comes up when I tune to XM channel 1.

Others have mentioned that XM is desperate for subscribers, so my guess is that they'll give it to you. I would call and ask for the deal and see what happens. You have nothing to lose.
