is it ture that G35 Sedan is faster???
The Edmunds driver got 13.9 with an AT coupe.

Pretty much neck and neck with sedan. But you get this car for the handling, not the drag strip, right?

That may be true, but i wouldn't put too much money into the car magically improving by a couple or few tenths stock.
Well, lets put things into perspective. The best the mags ran an 07Z was a 13.8... best stock times for non-mag drivers (owners) are 13.2-13.4's consistently. Does that mean they are "magically" improving by a couple tenths? Its not magic, its called practice. You can't masterfully drive a car the first time you get it, you learn how to launch correctly & shift it right, you will improve significantly. The 6MT that ran a 13.7, it was his first time at the track. I will be taking mine to the track in the Spring, and we'll see what its really capable of.
There are some factors can change your "stock" car. If you go on the track lower your tire pressure possible change your tire. Higher octane gas, Take all the extra weight from your car don't go with full tank of gas .These are just a few options to improve your 1/4 run. We still can call ths car stock but it will be faster.

2.145, yep there's a lot of room for improvement. I think most magazine testers power brake to try for the fastest times. Tell me, did you have to control wheel spin in the G37 auto?
The G37S that ran a 13.798 was a 5AT... stock, fully. And it was his only/first run, ever. The G37 is under-rated by mag racers; it is faster than the G35 Sedan and the old coupe, and not just by a little bit:

Just slammed the pedal and let the torque converter do it's job (got very little wheel spin)
Used full manual mode and shifted 1-2 slightly into redline- actually that was driver error but apparently it didn't hurt and I got a nice kick in the butt shifting into second.
However I did have just shy of 30 miles of gas left. It gave the warning down the track. So that saved some weight.
I think the biggest aid was the cool crisp air (low 50's) and a near perfect launch- still basically a 13.8

13,7-13.9 unless your running at least a mid 12 its all slow to me- neither the G37 or the G35 are a fast car- they are peppy but neither are fast-
Get which ever one you like better, but dont buy one just because it is faster because if speed is your concern, there are better options out there

I think through the 1/4 mile, both cars will be very close. However, past the 1/4 mile and at higher speeds, the G37 should start to pull away due to the higher top end HP and better breathing thanks to VVEL.
Hey, I was right. According to the C&D articles posted earlier:
G37 0-150: 36.2
G35 0-150: 38.2
Still, in most real world driving situations, it should be a driver's race.
Since you own both G37 and G35, does the 37 feel significantly quicker than the 35? Have you ever run both against each other?
