Strange as it seems the coupe weighs more than the sedan but then again
our G35s weren't intended to be drag cars!

Dude, mid-12s isn't fast, my buddy's Shelby replica ran 11s all day long. Unless you're running in the 11s, what's the point??

See how this works? Now some other clown can come back and talk about 10s... I DO agree with your point that the OP should buy the car they LIKE the best, not worry about a few tenths.

Oh, one other thing: More mods will likely be available for the coupe, they usually are.

Interesting, can you elaborate on that? What does it do better than your car? Stays flatter than the sedan, less understeer, more grip, what?

At low speeds, the G37's steering was a light lighter than the sedan...felt very much like a BMW. Our cars steer a little heavy and not so responsive at low speeds.

The dealer asked if I wanted to drive around in a G37 while I was getting my car serviced at the dealership so I took it out for some fun runs. Otherwise, the car felt very much like my car speed wise.

You can't masterfully drive a car the first time you get it, you learn how to launch correctly & shift it right, you will improve significantly. The 6MT that ran a 13.7, it was his first time at the track. I will be taking mine to the track in the Spring, and we'll see what its really capable of.

The same thing could be said for Sedan owners too then correct? As real owners spend more time behind the wheel then there should be some low times for sedans as well.

I think the magazine articles show that the cars are pretty equal in the 1/4.

To the OP.. Just get whatever model you like more, you can't go wrong with either choice.
