smoke from under the hood

I have seen people post questions about it before but i cannot find them now that i have the problem. When it rains "smoke" comes out of the grill, in large enough quantities that people have come up to me and asked what was wrong with my new car. At first i thought maybe the xenon headlights were getting wet and it was just the smoke evaporating. After talking to people this does not seem to be the case. Just curious if anyone else has notices anything similar. The "smoke" does not have a smell so its def no oil burning away. Im just confused, if someone could guide me in the right direction i would appreciate that.

It took a few weeks for all of the engine dressing to burn off on my new '08. I never saw the smoke, just smelled it. Not sure if this is what you are talking about. Maybe the smoke is just more visible when it rains for some reason.

I believe its the steam coming off the water on the radiator fins. I get that when I drive my car after washing it. You can see the steam coming out the grill.

Happens to me all the time, it's just more noticeable when it's cold, just like your exhaust.

Just tell them it's a japanese car and they all breathe like dragons or something. I'm sure they'll buy it.

its most likely steam and not smoke. Water is evaporating after touching something warm under the hood, if it was smoke you would smell something burning.

I've been in HEAVY rain - no smoke.

I think this OP is not legitimate.
If you are, please come back and post what you found out....
