Nice find. This makes giving the filters a try a bit more palatable.

So does anyone know if K&N filters really DO increase airflow and thus HP, especially for a dual-intake setup like the HR? Have no issue spending $70 for them, if they deliver an increase...?

Okay, okay, I ordered

From what I know...and someone please correct me...they are higher flow. However, the flow is minimal to deliver true power. Maybe a tad, but better flowing air is never a bad thing for our engines to breath better and deliver better power more consistantly for better engine life overall.

I'm more curious as to the sound of these duals with the K&N drop-in. I can't see it being much more rumblygrumbly...but it would be nice if they were.

I'm in on it. I'm at 15K so could use new ones as is.. might as well for the price, I'll probably toss then at 30K and go back to stock. can't beat $35@ shipped.

those from CA who made the purchase, did you add CA sales tax to bring the total to $75.78?

At that price I'm in , they'll pay for themselves after 2 OEM filter changes anyway.

if you race, yes. my last turbo-ed car dyno comparison only had k&n up 5 hp at the very upper limits of the rpm range. The factory paper air filter is the same everywhere otherwise. The oils from the K&N damaged my MAF one time. Again, this is coming from a blown car; hard to justify for a NA car.

Since you can wash the filter you might be able to say its worth it, but personally I dont think its worth the trouble. At $70 I can buy 3 sets and guaranteed clean paper everytime without washing oiling and waiting for it to dry.

Great price otherwise if u're going for it.

sorry for the dumb question but what does MAF stand for, and if you damage it, is it expensive to fix? Thanks
