long story short. I was driving today and according to the computer, I was 0 miles to empty. I was able to drive at least another 10 miles before I made it to a gas station. So my question is, is 0 miles really empty or does the car have a built in reserve of 1-2 gallons??

i've never been able to take it down to 0.... Everytime it hits 12 miles left it just says fuel low or whatever....

I know you can go at least 25 miles after you reach that point. I was forced to on a trip last year when we could not find an open gas station.

It's at least 25 miles - good way to test is to fill it up after it hits zero miles, and see how much less than the max fuel capacity is required to fill it. IIRC, it's over two gallons.

Here's a better question: anyone with stories of G actually hitting the real 0 miles point?

I think when I was running on empty, it just said --- on the screen in the center console. I think the dot matrix display showed a few miles still left but I don't really remember.
It just stopped counting after a certain point.
