I wouldnt ask if the flash can be "undone" ask if they can just re-flash it with the 07 codes. I dont see why they wouldnt have the flash codes for the non-updated 07.

I had my 07 in and took an 07 loaner with a later build date. I don't know of it's flash level, but it felt noticeably slower at the low end. If you punched it it went, but after driving my car for 15 months it felt almost sluggish. I guess I've gotten used to the jump.

Maybe it was fueled up with regular unleaded?

I hadn't considered that but it sure is possible. I can't imagine they're putting premium in the loaners...

Ok I got in touch with my salesman at the dealership and he looked into it and he said that there's nothing that can be done. Once the reflash is done, it's done. Damn devil.

That's BS. Totally. Being an engineer, there is no "one time" write flash memory module. If the factory was able to write in the original code, and then the dealership was able to flash newer code over it, there is always a way to flash it back (like PC BIOS). Otherwise, what would happen if it glitched in the middle of writing the new code???!! "Sorry, we only partially flashed it and can't go back to the original code" That's just stupid.

There IS a way and the techs just either:

a) don't know how to do it
b) fell asleep in the training class on how to do it
c) too lazy to do it
d) don't have a backup copy of your original ECU code

I bet THESE guys will tell you the same thing

It's just as fast off the line, the only difference is you need to press the gas pedal a little further. i.e. on the old ECU give the pedal 20% and you got 20% of
the throttle. now if you give the pedal 20% you probably get 15% throttle. as you approach the higher 50% range, I think it's all the same.
Hi. I am experiencing te same thing with my 07g35s 6mt. It seems sluggish and doesn't have the power it used to before the reflash. I even get worse gas mileage than before. Is there a way to have it reflashed? Second ear doesn'ht pull hard at all like it used to. It is easier to drive but it is slower now. I thought it was just me but i let my wife drive it and she felt the same way. Before the reflash i had a hesitation in acceleration but then it took off like crazy. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
