Car seat time

The forward facing booster seats aren't an issue, but we have a little one coming in March. Any recommendations on what rear facing infant seats fit good behind the passengers seat? While I will have 3 children, I will only have 2 in the back at all times.

Cant speak for the 07 sedan but in my 05 sedan the Eddie Bauer seats they have at Babies R Us worked fine. Tight fit, perfect length, and thank god for the LATCH system, making installation easy. Plus with the detachable base, very easy in and out.

I've got a Graco system between my wife's Tribeca and my G coupe. Works well.

I'm kinda scared that the length of the seats is going to push the passenger seat far forward. Then again, we don't use the my car as a family. We use the Nissan Quest to travel around in.

I have a 3 week old.... got the same concerns about how far forward the passenger front seat will be.
Most days, I'm by myself... only really have passengers at lunch time anyway. We use the 06 MDX for family trips.

I go by 2 things.
Safety ratings and Infiniti's fit list.

I went with the Britax Companion for the new baby (It's on Infiniti's list) and I have a Recaro booster for my 4 yr old.
I have not fit the Britax into the G yet but I expect no issues. The only reason why it's on hold is that the base is installed in the MDX and I haven't picked up a second one yet.

I have a Britax Boulevard, which is still rear-facing but fits perfectly in my Sedan behind me. The carseat is obviously not meant for an infant, but just an FYI for future reference.

The carseat is amazing by the way, tons of nice convenience features and are highly regarded.

Congrats on the new miracle too!

Yeah, the solid seats (convertables) fit okay. The real space concern comes with these "travel systems" which are removable seats... they disconnect from the base which stays locked to the rear seat.
These things take a TON of space.
The Britax car seats are awesome though. Super safe and worth the extra bucks.
The Recaro is also a superb seat as well.

The crazy wife kept reminding me while shopping for a new car... "It has to be kid friendly and hold 2 children."
I kept saying that the front seat would be mine and the back seat would be the kid's.
But... now that it's actually happening...
:'(

My poor G! LOL

We looked at everything and settled on the orbit as the ultimate baby seat:

Check it out. Not cheap, but it's the bomb!

Main thing is you need to turn off you auto back seat feature. I put the two piece travel base behind the passenger. If you have twins you are screwed. I have a 2 yrs old and an infant. Infant goes behind the passenger, 2 YO behind me. The two piece rear facing seat will literally not fit behind the driver with the auto back feature on.

Congrats on the little one.

My wife and I use a Graco with detachable base for our 5 week old. Although 90 percent of the time it's in or FX35, it fits behind the passenger seat of my 08 G35s Sedan with no problems.
