Yesterday I saw a platinum graphite g35 without the rear chrome spoiler. I thought it was the old G but a closer look seems like 07+ G.

It looks clean, no concaved shape or lines.

You sure it wasn't a paint-matched overlay that covered the chrome lip pretty well?

i remember there was one car on here that did that.....not a member but a customer of someone's

 

from behind the 06's kinda look like the 07's b/c they have the taillights with the two circles like us.... I think maybe it was an 06, or like everyone else said it can be one with an overlay

^ LOL good call! If the chrome lip is removed and replaced by body filler it would explain what you saw but more than likely you were looking at a 2005/06 since you said there were no lines where the chrome lip would have been...

it was an 06, i saw one today and it looked very similar to the 07's rear

 

I honestly don't see how the rear of the 06 looks anything like the rear of the 07+?

 

Totally agree on that note Shane! Maybe if you see it at night with the afterburner tailights is the only way I can think of.

 

I agree, no comparison except they both say Infiniti. I would not confuse an 05/06 with an 07/08 G35 sedan

 

Sorry for going OT, but I think the differences are obvious....no? Nothing similiar to me.
