Hi guys,

I bought my G35 without the OEM spoiler, i'd like to install the OEM spoiler now, but i want to know if the car with OEM doesn't come with the center high-mounted stoplight (CHMSL), it's don't like having the spoiler covering it.
So does the G35 with OEM spoiler comes with or without the center high-mounted stoplight (CHMSL) .

When you get the factory spoiler, it has a high mount at the base of the rear glass but the lense is white and it is not hooked up. The long thin LED brake light comes in the back edge of the spoiler. It drives me nuts when guys put on spoilers and still run the brake light at the base of the glass along with the spoiler light. Looks like AZZ IMO.

 

So do i, i hate having the high mount light with the rear spoiler brake light, i think i'll just disconnect it when i install the spoiler.


Can anyone poste a pic for their spoiler showing it with the high mount brake light please, thanks.

 

I bought a factory style spoiler off ebay for $108 shipped from the spoiler store. It has the wiring for the LED coming off the left side of the spoiler and the service manual shows the OEM factory spoiler to have the brake wiring harnessed on the right side, but I didn't find any empty wire harness on my trunk, so I guess I was not prewired. The ebay spoiler was a pretty easy install, after I got over the fear of drilling holes into my trunk. I ran the brake wire down to my left rear light and spliced it into the left rear brake wiring. The very light green wire (almost white) is the positive and the red wire is the ground. The paint match is very good for my Lakeshore Slate. I'll try to get some pics once it stops raining around here.
