Cold Start Service Bulletin

Just took my 07 G35x in for 7,500 mile service. I also was going to have the Cruise Control ITB done while in, but the Tech told me it did not apply to my car, to which I was surprised. I told him part of the reason I wanted to have it done was to have the throttle response remap that went with the ECU update in this ITB. He suggested applying ITB07-045 which is for cold start issues. I was not having any cold start issues, but I told him to go ahead. It seems that this ITB also updates the throttle mapping and the shifts to make the car run smoother. Not sure if it affects how quick the car is as shifts seem less abrupt, particularly kick down and throttle tip in is definitely less abrupt.

do you have ICC? If so, the tech might not know that the bulletin was updated for cars with ICC and that the sensor needs to be replaced as well.

The dealer I was previously going to for service didn't know about the sensor. If you don't have ICC, either you don't have the problem, or going to 045 will fix the problem anyways since it's a newer revision than the cruise control ECU.
