Learned something about my G35 X from U guys. Thx. I thought the Snow Mode only controlled throttle response with gearing starting in 2nd gear. Didn't know that it actually "locked" the AWD into 50/50 split. deaaler never really described it to me. I guess I should've asked specifically. This description of how Snow Mode works is not in the Car's Manual...

I tried it out on a fairly deeply covered side road yesterday. Without Snow Mode, the rear end started to fishtail pretty good at around 5 MPH. It wasn't until I switched back to Snow Mode that the car got some good grip.
When slip is detected, ATTESA can send 50% to the front wheels even if it is detected from a stand-still.

Watch this video, you will see that the front wheels engage a split second after the rear wheels, which will allow for fishtailing if the throttle is aggressively applied. And as you know, the G has a very sensitive throttle, unless Snow Mode is turned on.

I talked to my Service Manager and he said not to worry about breaking in the engine, it is already done at the factory. I live in CO and cant wait for my snow tires and wheels to get here.
