Thanks, Infiniti. I wasn't a car person before I bought your product but I count the hours I spend in her as the best hours of my day.

My mpg is slowly creeping up close to 17mpg with lead foot and 60/40 city/hwy after 5K.

Like I mentioned earlier the colder the temps the longer it takes for the vehicle to reach it's normal operating temperature. This will decrease your fuel efficiency. Other things like air density and wintertime additives used in gas are other contributors to decreased gas mileage. Here's a couple of decent links to read up on.

Hmmm. Thanks for the links; the explanations make sense. Strange that I always (and I do mean always) got better mileage in my old M in the winter than the summer. Must have been something else weird.
I guess I was wrong

perfectly said!!
although right now Im getting horrible gas mileage (I just put a true dual exhaust on with headers and straight pipes) and its winter...but w/e its worth it
im now a full believer that are g's can hit 400+.... i filled up Sunday and went on a trip to a casino round trip was 250miles, then today i had to fill it up... i work in newark and my light was on so i drove to oakland with it on, then the navi told me i had **** miles left and somewhere i read we had a 3gal reserve.. so i said screw it and drove back from oakland to fremont (about 30miles) with it saying **** when i got to a shell on auto mall, i realized i drove 408 MILES from 1 fillup! but let me tell u seeing ur needle hit E and go under it, is kinda scary lol.

lol i do the same i see it go 10,20,30,40 then i start thinking u can stop... 50,55 "STOP ALREADY!" POP all done. its expensive to drive such a sexy beast but well worth it lol.
and nobody believes me when I say that G's can do 500 miles to a tank.... Pure freeway of course, and you'll need to do some slaloming to make sure you get fuel to your pump...

Exactly right.
None of us bought our Gs for the gas mileage.

If you bought this car on your own and complaining about gas mileage, you got the wrong car. Most of us didn't buy this car because of the ****ty gas mileage. Paying more than $35k and complain that the car does less than 5MPG than a 4-banger is just unreal.
I used to drive a S2000 that get 27MPG and the fill up is only 11 gallons. Now each fill up on my G really makes me think it's worth the $50-$60 each week :P

The s2k guys are always complaining that they only get high 20's/low 30s, when civics gets mid/high 30s...
