So I Went To A Local Body Shop...

i asked them to see how much it would cost to fill in the holes where my front license plate would be and to fix a minor scratch on the front bumper/fender.. he said that would be $400.00 and i also asked him to paint and install my roof spoiler and he said it would be another $150.00.. so total is $550.00.. is that a good price? or should i try another shop...

i live in the Boston Area so if anyone could recommend a place that does quality work. please do so.

paint for a bumper usually runs ~300, so if he has to fix the holes and scratch, it seems like a good price (100 bucks on labor to fix it). Then paint for a spoiler usually cost 80-150 so if he's going to paint and install, i think you're getting an average to good deal.

I just noticed my 08 does not have any holes in the bumper, were those holes in yours drilled in at the dealer for the front license plate?

A lot of the dealerships don't drill holes because more and more people ask them not to.

I wish mine wasn't drilled...

Mine made me sigh a paper stating I know that Cali was required to have a front license plate and they were not liable for not putting the plate on. so I do not have holes!!

I had no choice on mine. I asked the dealership to not drill holes in the front bumper but he told me it was VA state law and they had to drill them.

I had my dealer not put them on , and I just secured the nplate bracket to the lower middle grill with 3-4 electrical plastic ties and then attached the plate to that with the included screws and works great. No holes and no problem with tickets.
