TPMS reset?

So if I decide to just buy a set of 17inch snow tires and my local Nissan dealer simply swaps current all seasons with the snows, will the sensors be ok? I assume the sensors don't have to be reset if they don't leave the car.

Can someone confirm? My infiniti dealer is 200 miles away!!!!

That should be fine as long as your dealing with the same rims and sensors. Also make sure they are placed back in the same position on car or diagnostics will be skewed if a code pops up in the future. As it stands right now on my car I have to remember they are rotated front to back so if an error pops up indicating a front sensor problem, it is actually on the back.

Just FYI even if you do swap tires....
I put my new rims on the car last week (TPMS came on because I don't have any sensors in them yet). I just put my stock sport tires back on yesterday. I drove about 2 blocks and my TPMS light turned off again. Again, just FYI

Very good to know. I am been thinking of getting some 18inch stock wheels to use for summer (with or without sensors) then using the current 17inch for winter and snows.
Good to know if I go without the sensors, I can go back to stock wheels without going all the way to the dealer....

How annoying is that indictor gonna be all summer?? That's the question.

I worried about the light too, when I put my winter wheels on.
Its not that bad though. It blinks when you first start the car but once it stops blinking, you'll forget that the light is even there.

Thats exactly what I do each year and it has beem no problem. You get used to the TPS dashlight on in the summer when not running the sensors.

You will notice it for a while, but give it a few days and you will forget the light is even there.
