i'd say it's totalled, parts to fix a new model/gen car is always primo expensive... and labor on top of that to boot

Glad you're Ok but the car is F**ked. Hope you don't get it back. If there's any structural frame damage, you'll get a check. Given the significant damage, you don't want it back! How many bags deployed, they're big bucks.

Glad you are ok. From last I heard for a insurance company to total your car the repairs must total at least 65% and even as high as 70% of what your car is worth. So guessing that your car is 2007 G35 S, the car is probably worth at least $25000 the damage must exceed at least $16250. From those pics it does not seem to have that much damage unless the car is tweaked then most likely it will then be totaled. If she is not totaled and they fix it get rid of it. It will never ride the same and the other bad thing is that your car will lose at least $1000 to $2000+ when you trade it in. If you trade it they will know and also you are supposed to disclose that the car has been in a accident.

I agree with Joker.

When I had an accident this past winter, the body shop estimated my damage to be $4000+ just for right fender, bumper, and headlight. Nothing else. I was like........."DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYUM"

when you car is in an an accident that big you lose ALOT of the value and some places wont even take it in...its hard to say how much.. but for example...a dealer wanted an old car of mine for 14.5 K but when found out there was alot of warranty work and etc and the accident I only managed to get rid of the car at a used car place for 8.5K you see the big diff.. it wont be only a couple of K diff it would be a BIG diff and loss.

He speaks the truth...

My fully loaded G was 6 months old with 15k on the clock with $12,000 worth of body work and front (only) airbag deployment. My friend that owned the dealership said it was worth $16,000 at auction... I hope for your sake it is totaled. It does appear to be totaled, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If for some odd reason they say its not I would fight and fight to get it totaled. Sorry for your loss but I'm glad you made it out without a scratch and you found the ahole...

Glad you are okay, I am certain that it will be totaled of because of the extensive damage to the car. Also looking at the pictures I wouldn't feel safe if someone tried to repair it.

What he said. You have no say in the matter. If they choose not to declare it totalled, you have asbsolutely no say in convincing the insurance company otherwise. From the looks of it I doubt the damage is close to what the car is worth. Sorry man.

not to be an ahole, but if it is totalled, are you able to part out some of the parts off the car, interested in the chrome rear lip.

auto repair shop did a once over and said its going to need a lot of work. the floor board in the trunk has to be replaced (he said this is the frame) he said its going to be "well over 15k to fix." its up to the insurance now i guess....

I'm leaning toward saying that it's totalled... but I'm no expert...
