Backseat hammock/cover for dog?

The straps are adjustable, so we do usually hook it up to the front seats when the pup is riding along. However, our dog likes to be as close to the front seat as possible, so she always places more pressure on the front than the back.

End result - after three years one of the straps on the front broke, and we have been too lazy to sew it back on.

It does work as both a hammock and a seat cover though...
