Beat the system

OK, my car is now broken in and its time to use what I paid for, i.e. 306HP. Now the law in the part of the world I am in is enforced ruthlessly on the road, anything over 75mph could possibly get you a speeding ticket. We all love those right

I hate having wires in my car so I was wondering if you guys know of a cop radar detection system which is very discrete, i.e. I dont need to see it or the wires running to and from it.

Thanks

There are several types of radar detectors that are integrated (sensor in grille and rear, runs to a display under the dash etc.).

However, I and many others have it mounted next to / on the mirror, wired through the mirror. Basically you can see the radar detector only, pretty user-friendly unless you live in an area where radar detectors are illegal...

Keep it clean and safe on the street...find a good track local to you and do it right. Not only legal, but absolutely way more fun than anything you could try to pull off on some back road!

I just got a ticket 2 days ago for going 91@65.

I was cruising @ 80 just relaxing and listening to music while not paying attention to the road... which was a bit of a down hill.

I should invest in a radar detector...

Damn your speedo must be way off. You were "traveling" at 80mph but got popped at 91?

I am not trying to do 130mph on the road, but you know how your car handles, I minute you are doing 65 and before you know it you are 90. This is when the you know who get really excited.

Yeah, then you step on the accelerator and you find its more fun than the cruise, you switch off the cruise and the next minute you are on 90.

Or you see a BMW 3281 and you happen to be in a good mood that day

I just want to be safe

I use a Valentine 1, using their mount right next to the rearview mirror. Car Toys wired it in for me, using the cord V1 provides.

Others have used Mike's Mount, which attaches directly to the mirror, and Invisicord, which easily wires directly to the mirror (I probably would have used that had I known about it at the time).
