Angry Someone hit my door

Yesterday while at work the girl parked next to me opened her door into the passenger side of my car. The wind was blowing very hard and she " doesn't remember if she caught it and knew she was carrying a lot of stuff and was in a hurry." She volunteered to help pay for it, but still. So, I now have a nice dent in the side and gray paint from her honda. Anyhoo, I got an estimate today which is $500 to fix and the guy said they have to repaint the door. So, I'm thinking I'd rather get it painted by Infiniti in order to have it match perfectly as I am very particular. He said "black is black" but the pinstripes will probably look a little different. First I don't believe black is black and secondly why wouldn't the pinstripes match? We purchased the Dent Zone protection when we bought the car so I figure I might as well have them try and pop it out and see if the paint will buff off if the other alternative is having them fix the dent and paint it. I'm worried it will still leave a crease where the dent was as the guy who did the estimate also said. Anyhoo, just needed to vent.

Sorry dude. Re the paint shop, anyone who tells you ahead of time that the repair is going to be wrong, is between the lines telling you I'M FREAKING CLUELESS AND DON'T DO GOOD WORK!!!

Back away slowly, and find another place - shops that dealers recommend usually, but not always, do a good job matching paint.

The body shop can get the exact paint from Infiniti so you need to tell them to step off and find someone who knows what the hell is going on.

I'm considering taking it back to Houston and getting it fixed there somewhere.

sorry to hear it dude, when I was in Rutgers here in NJ, especially in the dorm parking area, non of the students care about banging their car door on other cars since no one is around most of the time. You should at least get her number if she was cute.
