I know there is probably a thread on here that answers this, but I have to leave and don't have time to search. Anyway could someone answer the following questions and give their opinions...thanks.

1. I'm due for my 12000km oil change...should I go synthetic?

2. Does synthetic void the warranty or will I have any issues with the warranty?

3. How often do you change synthetic oil? Do I still keep the regular 6000km change?

1. Yes - did my at the 3k mark and the dealer did it no problems.
2. No - had the dealer do it.
3. Keep the same interval even though the oil does not need it. This could be a warranty thing - but could be wrong.

2) No. Keep your receipts.
3) IMHO you should be good till 12000 KM/6 months with a high quality synthetic. To be sure, do a UOA.

 

Thanks!!! Oh...should I stay with 5W30 and is there a specific brand to get or stay away from? or is all synthetic oil the same?
