AutoTransOwnners~How often do you use Manual Mode?

I rarely used to switch to manual, now I can't drive around town in "just" drive, so much more fun to keep it around 4k just ready to launch at any moment Also a bit more fun to roast a Mustang GT from light to light

Honda Accord
Ever since I got the FI exhaust, I just use DS/Manual model ALL THE TIME. That way, I can control the sound level better and sometime it is necessary cuz of the near by popos. lol

I'm using the paddle shifters to vary the engine RPMs during the break-in period.

My car is turbo, and I don't have a VB yet, so I drive in MM 95% of the time, I like driving it like that. I didn't use auto that much before either.

I can't drive car in only DRIVE unless its a big suv or something.. I just feel disconnected from the road and feel like I have no control. Sucks, when you come from a Manual, and a messed up auto where you have to shift from 1-2-3-D manually.

I use manual mode all the time, probably over 90%. I shift the majority of the time using the shifter, and occasially use the paddles. it's a mix of probably 60/40. I had a loaner X and it made me realize that I use the paddles more then I originally thought.

I use mine in manual mode, 95 percent of the time. The only time I don't have teh VDC turnedoff is in heavy rain, or if there is a lot of standing water.

I've found two instances where it's actually NEEDED.

1. Getting ready to pass someone. Leave it in "D" but double tap the paddle shifters down. It just takes too long to "double downshift" IMO.

2. Taking a right turn or uturn out into traffic. The car will shift out of 1st waaaay too soon. I have to put it in DS, downshift to leave it in 1st. Slowly pull out, then punch it and shift (or throw it back into D).

I have noticed the paddles shift noticeably quicker than pushing up or down on the stick.

I've gotten so I use it all the time. Dunno why, maybe I'm a MT wannabe. I wish I at least had paddles and rev-matching.

When I first purchased the car I rarely used the manumatic mode...however, now I use it a lot. Especially on the highway and when there is no traffic in town. too much fun
