I drove mostly highway during break-in but changing revs often, sometimes drove in M-mode to vary the revs in each gear. The issue was that sometimes I dropped to 3rd too soon and hit 5-5.5K rpm. I can recall this happening about 5 times, also I hit 6-6.5K once in first. During that time I was averaging about 22-24 mpg. Once I hit 1200.5 however , i let it rip. Could not resist for any longer . That tank that I hit 1200 miles in I avg'd 16-17 mpg, obviously due to my lead right foot . I did take a 400 mile highway trip with occcasional stop lights, finally got to using cruise control varying between 65-70 mph and I avg'd 23.5 mpg between fill ups. I am currently at 2700 miles on the odo, waiting until the 3750 mile mark to do the first oil change. Currently driving to and from work, I am getting 20-22 mpg due to a 80/20 mix of hwy and city. hope this helps out

For the entire duration of my ownership of the car, I have never reset the avg MPG/MPH in the gauge cluster.

I am averaging 19.2-20.2 mpg, with 42~ mph.

I'm okay with the mph since ~35k miles were highway.

Quick answer... IT SUCKS.

Love the car, and almost everything it except for the gas mileage. New models will have a 6 or 7 speed, should help a little, but what do you want for a 300HP+ motor and kick in the pants fun to drive car?

You just can't have it all.

=)
